NativeMade is all about Loving Where You Live. I started NativeMade back in 2016 as a passion project to showcase why I fell in love with Chattanooga. Although I wasn’t born in Chattanooga, I chose to make it my home. To me that means something. It means that when you immerse yourself in your community you become a local.
NativeMade is a billboard for Chattanooga. It’s a piece of this city you get to bring with you. It’s a way to connect with those in your community or even outside of it. It’s a super soft time capsule you get to wear and share with the world.
What We Do
NativeMade offers apparel, stickers, and accessories that highlight just some of the aspects of what makes Chattanooga great. Most of the designs are inspired by Chattanooga/Tennessee history, local landmarks or anything that stands out to me as a local.
The mission behind NativeMade goes beyond designing fun apparel, I also have a passion for those who are struggling with mental health. I lost a friend to suicide in 2020. You don’t always know what people are going through. That is why I want to continue using NativeMade as a platform to talk about and donate to organizations that deal with suicide prevention and mental health. People matter most in this life.
Designing for NativeMade
In my time with NativeMade I have been able to partner with some amazing people. They have helped get NativeMade to where it is today. I have created almost all of the designs for NativeMade up to this point but my goal is to partner with other local artists and designers to help create a more diverse representation of Chattanooga. If you or someone you know has a great idea for a shirt I want to hear about it.
